| 1. What is Zumba? |
Zumba
is a combination of Latin Music, Fun and Fitness. It is the most fun you
will ever have working out!!!

Zumba is a
fun and effective workout that combines International and Latin rhythms such as
salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggeaton, flamenco, belly dancing and hip-hop. It’s the new way to workout. It’s high intensity low impact
that burns up to 700 calories per hour. It’s not a workout, it’s a Party!!!!

| 2. What do I wear to Zumba? |
Whatever you are comfortable in, tennis
shoes, shorts, sweats. You usually end up getting pretty
warm!

I like to wear comfortable
but stylish clothes to Zumba. It’s all about the style, feeling comfortable and
“sexy” It’s important to wear a good supportive shoe, preferably dance sneakers.

| 3.When do the classes start? |
You
can begin taking them whenever you want.
The moves and songs are repetitive.
After you have a couple classes under your belt it becomes second
nature!!

Classes are
every Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 PM, Saturdays at 9 AM and
Sundays at 1:00 PM

| 4. What can I expect when I come to Zumba? |
FUN!! You will sweat, laugh, and smile!! This is not your mama’s exercise
class!

A lot of
wiggling, hip shaking, and drip sweating fun while getting the best aerobic
workout!
|
| 5.What if I'm not coordinated and I can't dance? |
Zumba
is not a dance class. It is a
fitness class which utilizes latin
music and movement. The format is
very informal and we always say “If you don’t get a step or can’t do a
certain step just wiggle and smile!!!”
All the movements are easy to follow and we cue you before the step
so you know it is coming. The more
you come the more familiar it becomes

The songs
have basic movements that are repeated throughout the routine and throughout
the songs. Songs are repeated in classes
so you will get it and if you get lost, just wiggle and smile!!!!

| 6.What if I'm out of shape and I can't keep up? |
This
is the perfect class!! You can make the movements high impact or low, big
or small. You will see participants
of all sizes, shapes and ages!!!
You will have so much fun before you know it the hour will be over
and you’ll be saying “ I cannot believe I just worked out for a hour!!!!”

Zumba is
low impact and you work at your own pace. It is an interval workout, it combines
high-energy songs with slow paced songs. This type of aerobic exercise has been
proven to work better for fat burning. The main focus is keep on moving!

| 7.What kind of people are in your Zumba classes? |
There
is a wide variety!! I would say
ages range from 5 to 80!! You will
see our fun loving Middle and High schoolers next to the moms and
Grandmas, and don’t forget the guys!!
It is one of the few classes where generation gaps are
bridged!! Mothers and daughters
come together!! We also have
individuals who have never done group exercise standing next to
experienced dancers. It is a
wonderful mix of individuals that make up a great diverse zumba family!!

All kinds
are people are in our Zumba classes! Zumba does not discriminate against
gender, age, shape or culture. Everyone can Zumba!!!

| 8.How will Zumba benefit me? |
The
gift of Health, Confidence and energy!!! We have so many people who have lost a
lot of weight. We have other
participants who say their self confidence is so much better. It fills you with this great positive
energy!!

Zumba has
many benefits. It burns fat, it helps you get in shape, it gives stamina and
most important, it makes you feel good about yourself.

| 9.Can I take more than one class a week? |
Can
you??? Try to stop yourself from taking class more than once a
week!!! It is so addicting!!

Yes, we
have 6 classes a week and you are welcome to each and every one of them!

| 10.Can I just try one class to see if I like it? |
Sure…..but I know you will like it!
|
Yes! Just
come to our class, you can pay for one class to see if you like it. After you
get “hooked” we have a special pass you can purchase and save some money.

| 11.What are the type of dances and music you do and use? |
We use
100% Latin music, some fast, some slower.
We incorporate moves from Salsa, Merenge, Reggaeton, Hip Hop and
Cumbia.

Zumba uses
International and Latin music and dances. As mentioned before some are, but not
limited to: salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggeaton, flamenco, belly dancing and
hip-hop.
